Living in an intentional religious community can be a wonderful experience and many people live happy and fulfilling lives in such groups.
Life can bring unique challenges for those who grow up in such a community and choose to leave. The communities may provide their youth with everything they need to get established on their own, but in some cases teens and young adults find themselves unprepared for life in the outside world.
We aim to make this transition as safe as possible. By providing young leavers with a parachute of basic necessities, guidance and life skills, we hope to help them avoid the pitfalls others have experienced, such as homelessness, joblessness, and drug addiction, and to assist them with building a happy, productive life that allows them to give back to others.
Safe Landing Project does not encourage young people to leave religious communities or help anyone to leave. Every person should freely choose their own life path. We are simply here to assist those who have already left.
Safe Landing Project is a grassroots organization. Please visit our "Donate" tab to see how you can help.
Safe Landing Project's mission is to assist young people who have left intentional communities to live a life of success, purpose, and joy.
